My Simple Approach To Texture Painting In Blender

Recently I've started reviewing various texture painting addons in Blender! And while that work will definitely continue (we've still got to dive deep into Ucupaint, for example), I wanted to show you what texture painting could look like in Blender without addons! This was a huge pain for me, for a long time. As someone that comes from a background using Substance, I really wanted to believe there was a way to get great texture painting results directly in Blender, while simultaneously taking advantage of the procedural goodness that's in Blender's shader node editor.

I believe I've finally found my workflow, so I decided to share it here! In this video I'll take a deep dive into all the aspects of Blender texture painting I find useful, and how I integrate them into my long-standing procedural texture painting approach. Enjoy!
